Description:

We have developed customized technology and applied thoughtful concepts of architectural details, to design a compact and minimalist building structure. Invisible gutters hidden in the facade and omission of eaves resulted in the modern appearance of the architectural form. The wooden ventilated facade made from Scandinavian spruce in the patina colour perfectly harmonizes with anthracite HPL boards installed on the terrace, entrance and garage roofs. Robust aluminium frames enabled us to design large three-pane glazed openings. The windows are energy-efficient and partly tinted. The occupants are protected against excessive sun radiation by external roller blinds hidden under the facade. The house obtained a German energy-efficiency certificate of conformity to the KFW 55 requirements (you will find more about energy-efficiency certification of our houses in the TECHNOLOGY tab and on the ENERGY CONCEPT page). The house also successfully passed the blower-door test and obtained a certificate of air tightness in the passive house category. A simple, optimized architectural form of the building, underfloor heating supplied from a heat pomp and a central ventilation system with heat recovery enabled us to reduce the energy costs to a minimum.

In the interior design, we paid particular attention to a reduction in passage space (e.g. corridors, entryways) to a minimum. When entering the house, we see an open room with a three-metre terrace window. To the left, there is a wardrobe with glazed closets, optically enlarging the space, and a toilet. To the right, we pass through a utility room (10 sq. m) with complete technical equipment of the building, washing machine, dryer, freezer, pantry, to directly enter a garage for two cars. There are also integrated stairs, and farther a beautiful kitchen and dining space. It is inconspicuously separated from the relax zone, the living room, by an openwork wall with an integrated double-sided fireplace. The look and heat of fire can be enjoyed both in the kitchen or dining room and while unwinding on a sofa.

From the living room, there is an exit to a roofed terrace, also usable during rainy weather.

The first floor principally consists of three rooms and two bathrooms. The main room, the bedroom, is adjacent to a private bathroom with a tub, modern shower with the Raindance and Rainfall functions and other accessories, and to a custom-designed wardrobe for two. The occupants of the remaining rooms can use a bathroom with modern equipment and a sauna, designed and constructed by our company. To go to your own sauna and relax at a fireplace, enjoying your home after a hard-work week – simply pure pleasure.
